Course Description

Data Structures is a 20-hour micro-course that focuses on the structures that organize and store data in memory so it can be used effectively and efficiently to solve problems. Lists, queues, maps, and sets are examples of what we'll cover. 

Learner Outcomes

After you complete Data Structures, you will be able to: 

  1. Identify how common data structures are implemented and be able to appropriately leverage the Java Collection API
  2. Explain technical concepts in an interview format
  3. Integrate code and add new features into a larger application

Prerequisites

We designed this course for students with little or no programming experience and are considering a career in programming. Plan for this course to take approximately 30 hours to complete. However, the time you spend on each topic will depend on your previous experience and understanding so actual completion times can vary widely.
